How to Pause and Edit an Ongoing Campaign and sequence
Pausing and editing an ongoing campaign is a crucial capability that gives you the flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances or correct errors. Whether it’s fixing a typo, adding or removing files, or updating a campaign with a post-conference message, nReach’s platform allows you to pause entire campaigns or individual sequences. This guide will walk you through everything you need to know about pausing and editing campaigns effectively.
Why Should You Pause a Campaign?
Pausing a campaign can help you address a range of scenarios effectively:
- Correcting Errors: Typos, wrong audiences, or incorrect calls-to-action can happen. Pausing ensures you can fix these issues before additional messages are sent.
- Updating for Schedule Changes: For instance, if a webinar is rescheduled, pausing lets you adjust the timing and messaging accordingly.
- Responding to Context Changes: External factors can shift unexpectedly, such as:
- Following up after an event ends with unresponsive contacts by sending a message like, "We didn’t get a chance to catch up, but I’d still love to connect!"
- Cancelation of a promoted side event.
- Misalignment of timing or messaging with audience needs.
- Shifts in market conditions or priorities that make current messaging irrelevant.
How to Pause a Campaign
nReach makes it easy to pause campaigns, whether you need to stop the entire operation or focus on specific recipients. Simply follow these steps:
Pausing an Entire Campaign
- Log In: Access your nReach account and navigate to the Messaging Campaigns section.
- Access Campaign Metrics: Select Messaging Campaigns > Campaign Metrics from the left-hand sidebar.
- Select the Campaign: Find the ongoing campaign you want to pause. Check the box next to it and click the Pause button at the bottom of the screen.
- Confirm the Action: A pop-up window will appear. Double-check that you’ve selected the correct campaign and click Pause again.
- Check the Status: The campaign status will change from “Active” to “Paused.” All messages within the campaign will stop sending immediately. Once paused, you can edit or review the campaign details as needed before resuming.
